BORF started a graffiti campaign seen in and around Washington, D.C. during 2004 and 2005, carried out by teenager John Tsombikos while studying at the Corcoran College of Art and Design. The campaign included daubing slogans like "Grown-ups are obsolete" and "BORF writes letters to your children" around a consistent picture of an eager, positive and rather stupid grinning face, alongside politically charged stencils, wheatpastes and tags. John´s work rages with alienation, it is tempered by gentle humor, romantic imagery and a realist painting style. And his graffiti credentials are impeccable. BORF, some will be aware, is also the acronym for America's Bill Of Rights Foundation.
