Dan Witz (born 1957) is a Brooklyn based street artist and realist painter. Witz, consistently active since the late 1970s, is one of the pioneers of the street art movement. His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the US and Europe. Witz has been featured in numerous publications including The Wall Street Journal, TIME Magazine, New York Magazine and The Huffington Post. In 2010, Gingko Press released “In Plain View”, a monograph documenting 30 years of Witz’s career of works created in the studio and on the street.
